    Our One-Time Project Consultation entails virtual or in-person garden visit. During our session, we’ll discuss your garden aspirations, challenges, forthcoming projects, and design requirements. We can conduct a comprehensive review of your entire property or concentrate on specific areas needing assistance. Following our consultation, Sol Gardens NYC will provide a detailed document encompassing our notes and any or all of the following:

    • Resource listings

    • Useful links for information, sourcing supplies, and helpful tips

    • Digital vision boards to aid in visualizing your design direction

    • Plant recommendations for various locations, garden beds, or problem areas

    • Soil & compost guide

    • Design solutions and overall layout enhancements

    • A simple sketch or mockup of a designated area requiring new plantings

  • Exclusive consultancy, project price may vary depending on sizing, visions and support needed. Minimum project price - $500

    At Sol Gardens, our approach to garden installation is centered on creating beautiful gardens that the project needs. This does not include the cost of materials

    OUR PROCEDURE

    Step 1: Video Conference

    We will send you a garden vision survey and schedule an initial complimentary 20-minute consultation via video chat. During this brief session, we will discuss your project requirements and provide insights into Sol Gardens NYC’s approach.

    Step 2: Agreement

    Sol Garden will draft and dispatch a personalized consulting agreement containing project-specific details. Operating on a retainer, we offer services ranging from garden layouts to specific planting calendars.

    Step 3: On-Site Assessment

    The exciting phase commences with an on-site visit where we explore all design areas, document existing conditions, discuss design aspirations, property potential, and review phases and timelines.

    Step 4: Implementation

    We embark on the task of preparing design documents, coordinating sourcing, and supervising installations and plantings. Whether overseeing the entire property with a master plan or focusing on specific projects or areas, we ensure meticulous attention to detail.

    In addition, all consultant materials will be provided.

  • $60/hour Maintenance, $100/hour Maintenance & Garden Training 

    Our garden maintenance service offers skilled agriculturalists at $60 per hour to meticulously clean and maintain your garden space. Equipped with hand tools, we work from February through November to ensure your garden remains in perfect harmony with your vision.

    Additionally, for an extra fee, you can join us for a hands-on Garden Maintenance 101 training session, empowering you with the knowledge and confidence needed to care for your garden space effectively.

  • Workshop Prices Range Based on Attendee Numbers and Topic

    We love sharing our knowledge and expertise with others! We offer a wide range of educational programs, from individual classes to multi-day courses. We can customize our programs to meet your specific needs, so you can learn at your own pace and in a way that best suits you.

The Team

Chelsea, a Bronx-native composter and urban agriculturalist focuses on soil health and education. Having a decade of experience teaching environmental education, she began farming in Ecuador while leading gap-year students on farming projects around the country. In recent years, she has taught the Master Composter Certificate training course and is training in basket weaving.

Karen, a Queens-native farmer focuses on garden planning and aftercare. Having nearly a decade of experience farming in NYC, she has begun taking her skills beyond growing food, to create unique garden spaces filled not only with food but with a diverse range of flowers. Karen is focused on developing spaces that not only serve people but the local environment.
